Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Virtual Series
May 3, 2021 - May 6, 2021
DonationThe Mayor of Pasadena hosts an annual breakfast to coincide with the National Day of Prayer in May. This inspirational community event is open to not only people of multiple faiths, but also to business people, nonprofits and community residents. The keynote speaker provides a thought-provoking and inspirational message that speaks to our whole community, whether from a faith tradition or no faith background.
In 2021, the event has been transformed into a weeklong virtual series. We will share a daily inspirational community message each morning beginning on Monday, May 3 and concluding on Friday, May 7. The series features a variety of prayer and music from Pasadena churches and nonprofits. ALL THE VIDEOS ARE AVAILABLE ON JERICHO ROAD PASADENA’S YOUTUBE PAGE.
One day’s email will feature an interview with keynote speaker Dr. Terrence Roberts, who is a management consultant and mental health professional, and was a member of the Little Rock Nine. Dr. Roberts was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal by President Bill Clinton in 1999. He has a Ph.D. in psychology, has been a member of the faculty of Pacific Union College and Antioch University Los Angeles, was the assistant dean in the UCLA School of Social Welfare and was Director of Mental Health at St. Helena Hospital and Health Center. He is currently Principal of the management-consulting firm, Terrence Roberts Consulting.
Different nonprofits from around the community organize the breakfast and Jericho Road Pasadena is proud to be the 2021 organizer!
