About Us & Meeting Dates

Meeting 5-10-17 Pas Village

The Pasadena Executive Roundtable is an informal consortium of local nonprofit executive directors who meet to discuss leadership and management issues of common concern and hear presentations by speakers of interest.

The focus of the round table is decided each year by a steering committee led by a chairperson. The group normally meets on the second Wednesday of every month from 8:30 to 10am with the exception of July and Aug. Electronic invitations are sent to our mailing list before each of our meetings and events.

Interested in joining? See our Membership page for more information.

Jan Masaoka CalNonprofitsNov. 7: Jan Masaoka, Chief Executive Officer of the California Association of Nonprofits, will discuss an unconventional view of how to understand and lead effective boards. Is asking a group of busy people to give their time, talent and treasure simply unrealistic for the 21st century? What does volunteer governance mean and why do so many nonprofits struggle to create and maintain effective boards? How do we cultivate leadership that is engaged not only in organizations, but are advocates for causes, communities and social change? Join us for a visionary discussion on boards and how they affect the future of the nonprofit sector.

Many thanks to the Pasadena Community Foundation for sponsoring this event and to Pasadena Cimmunity Foundation Circle Logothe Pasadena Senior Center for donating the Scott Pavilion as the venue! Register at https://rethinking-boards-masaoka.eventbrite.com. Roundtable members attend for free; $10 for non-members. Please see the membership page or email Rebecca Mitchell (rmitchell@hovinghome.org) for more information.

We are looking for organizations and leaders willing to speak at upcoming meetings. Please contact Elizabeth Dever at edever@rmhcsc.org if you have an idea for a speaker.

Journey House serves as the fiscal sponsor for this group. We rotate the monthly meetings to different nonprofits so that we can learn from one another from seeing their offices, meeting space or program.
